STAT was founded in the summer of 2011 after several months of intensive prayer and study, and years of collective experience with other home schooling tutorial or co-operative programs. STAT’s founders recognized the importance of balancing academic excellence and a joyful family life with the help of academic tutors and a community of families who share similar goals. We began with 26 students, graciously hosted by Gloria Dei Lutheran church in Arnold, Maryland. Having outgrown our first classrooms in a few short years, we were blessed to be welcomed into our current spaces at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church in Millersville, Maryland.
